A type of conservatorship for developmentally-disabled adults that can give them the opportunity to live their life on a more meaningful level.

Limited Conservatorships are used to appoint an adult caretaker to look after an individual and/or his estate when the individual is incapable of doing so due to mental incompetence or severe handicap. The conservator oversees the individual’s financial and personal affairs, including housing, medical treatment, food, clothes, and other personal care. When the conservator is also the executor of the individual’s estate, he or she will manage the individual’s finances, including managing assets and income, paying costs, developing budgets for the conservatee, and managing investments.
